Wehrpass of "Maschinenobergefreiten" Wilhelm Bode who served within the KM as a "U-Boot" member.

Bode started his basic military training in Beverloo/Ostende (Belgium) and served within several different training units before he ended up within the 1-U-Flottille.

Bode served at the U-821 under command of "Oberleutnant zur See" Ludwig Fabricius and was sunk in a battle by depth charges from a British Liberator (206 Sqn.RAF) and 4 four British Mosquito aircraft (248 Sqn.RAF) which caused 50 dead and only 1 survivor!
